Introduction

GG E-Sports Platform is the latest challenge platform that supports internet players mutually to play with each other. You can now connect and play with friends from all over the world, while enjoying a very good latency. The platform turns the internet into a huge cyber cafe, which enables the players to connect and play games in such a way as they play in LAN.

GG Gaming Platform includes the following features:

Register and Install the platform

First, you have to get yourself a GG account, register here: http://www.gg-game.com/forum/register.php . Make sure you have completely read and understood the terms and agreements stated in the GG Gaming Platform User License Agreement. Click on Agree if you accept all the terms and condition or click on Disagree otherwise. After you have agreed on the terms set by GG, you will be forwarded to an application form page. Please Fill up the information carefully as this will be final and NO alterations can be made after you have registered.



Your Username will be your account ID for both the forum and the GG Platform itself. Your Username will also be your in-game ID. So please register with your preferred ID name.

A Password is needed for an account to log in. Please make sure that the password you will input is one that you are familiar with. Also, it is strongly advised that you do NOT share your account password to anyone. GG is not liable for account hacks and other similar incident.

Your Email registered in GG will be the one that will receive official notifications / mails coming from GG. So please make sure that the e-mail you have registered is your personal e-mail and is activated. Features like “Forget Password” is directly associated to your e-mail as the new password requested by the user will be sent to the mail you registered.

Location information is also important, we encourage you to choose your real location from the list as this will be the one displayed in your GG profile.

Other informations are OPTIONAL but it is recommended that you still fill them up completely and sincerely.

Next, you need to download the official GG Platform installer from http://www.gg-game.com/download.html



Click the Download here button to download the installer package. If it does not automatically download, you can right click on the Download here and choose “save target as” to manually download it. Then install GG to the directory of your choice.

Now that you have successfully registered a GG account and installed the GG Platform in your PC, You are a step closer to enjoying some cool real time online gaming!

Getting Started

GG Client supports the following games: Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Counter-Strike, StarCraft : BroodWar,  Dawn of War, and Quake 4. But to play in GG, you will need to separately install the games you wish to play.

To open GG Esports Platform, click on the shortcut icon on your desktop or look for the startup file under Ocean Technology -> GG E-Sports Platform -> GGclient



Log in with your account Username and password. Server is GG-Game US Server (no other options are available for now). Click on Log In to start.



As you can see in the left side of the platform are different categories. Under LAN Games, the different games supported by GG are there with their icon displayed. Click on the Icon of the game you wish to play to view its sub menu.



After Clicking on a Game, a sub-menu for different region around the world will appear and look for the country where you live or if it does not exist, choose the one nearest to your location. After clicking on the region you selected, a final sub-menu will appear, this will be the list of different available rooms for that region. Select on a room you wish to play in, double click on it. NOTE: the number of users in the room and the maximum number of users in the room is displayed after the room name.  If the room is full, you can not enter the said room at the moment. You can choose another room or try entering that room later.



1 – Shows you where you will need to set the game paths before you start the game. Click on Settings to select the right game path from your directories. (view IV. Playing Games on GG-C for more information)

2 – your GG Mini Profile where you can see your GG Avatar, Client Status, PMs, and GG Level. Double click on the avatar to select available avatars, click on the status to change the status of your preference, and click on the mail icon to view your person PMs.

3 – GG tabs which contains the Game Room, My Buddies, Clans and Groups, Gamers joined my Host, Ban List and other tabs. Click on the tab names to switch to it.

4 – The Chat Window where you can chat with other gamers in the same room. The upper portion is where the chat log is displayed, and the lower portion is where you can input the message you wish to send.

5 – Other GG Related functions and links. Click GG Ladder to view the war3 1v1 ladder level system, click My Account to view your personal control panel, GGTV!!! for GGTV settings and other related functions, HomePage to visit GG-C’s official web page, My Room is currently unavailable, Tools for BNET ping functions and Free Online Translator, Forum to go to our very own GG Forum, My Clan to open your Clan chat window, Help to view our online FAQ, Recent Room to view the list of the “recent” room you have entered and Exit to log out.

Playing Games on GG-C
Just take Counter-Strike 1.6 and Warcraft III: TFT for demonstration.
To play Warcraft III: TFT, you need to:
            1. Log in GG platform, select a Warcraft III: TFT room according to your region and double click to enter.



            2. Click set game path to set path to the executable file "war3.exe".



            (If you are using a loader to start war3, you may set path to the loader file. After you press start game, you just need to click 'Yes' to run in compatible mode and follow the rest steps normailly. When you close game, you will need to press 'manually stop' button.)


            3. Click "Start Game" button to launch WC3:TFT.



            4. You need to enter "Local Area Network" instead of "Battle.net", but you will have similar experience as playing on Battle.net.


            5. Note if you cannot join the game or you got ‘cannot connect to network’ error, you may click ‘setting’, choose the ‘enhanced mode’ to try.


            6. Just double click the game server listed in the Local Network Games to enter it. Or you can create your own game to let others find and join your server.



To play counter-strike 1.6, you need to:
        1. Run GGclient.exe, fill in necessary information to log in platform.
        2. On the left panel, it's a list of game rooms. Expand Counter-Strike 1.6, then double click one of the rooms to enter it.
        3. Click "Set Game Path" button, the Client Setting window will pop out, choose Counter-Strike 1.6 and then click "Browse" or "Search" button to locate one of the files: "Steam.exe", "hl.exe", "cstrike.exe". If you use "hl.exe" to launch counter strike, please add parameter "-game cstrike" . Click "OK" to return to main window.
          4. Click "Start Game" button.            
          If you are using steam.exe, please make sure your steam is not running before click this button. Then double click "Counter-Strike" in "Play games" window of steam to start cs.
          5. Click "Find Servers" in the main menu of counter-strike, under "Lan" tab, click "Refresh" button 2 to 3 times to get the server list. Then double click the server you want to join. Or you can create your own game, others can find your server in the same way.
                                 
To play other games, the steps are quite similar as playing counter-strike and Warcraft III. The universal steps are:
          1. Log in GG platform.
          2. Enter one of the game room.
          3. Set path to the executable file of that specific game.
          4. Click "Start Game" button on the platform to launch the game.
          5. Enter "LAN (Local Area Network)" section of that game to get the server list, or create your own game in LAN.
          6. Double click the server that you want to join.

Exp System
Why do I need exp?
1.Change your icon
2.Create clan
3.Apply got GGTV clan channel, clan forum., gg-msg group
4.The total exp of each of your clan members is the criteria for participating in future Clan Leagues.
5.G-Land (GG blog system) related services
6. EXP is the criteria for upcoming solo tournament.
7.Less chatting cooldown time on GGTV live watching during in game chatting with other viewers.

How to get more?
1.Play in games! You can gain more exp when you in game.
2.Post on the forum. Post one thread you can get 2 exp, -4 if thread is deleted. Additional 2 exp if thread is highlighted.0.2 exp per reply.
3. If you log on client but it happens that you are not playing, you will also gain exp. But compared to the exp gain while playing with other people, it is relatively much slower.


EXP & level calculation formula: (N*(N+1)*(N+2) + 16*N)*10. N is the level and the result is the total exp one need to obtain to level up.




GGClient Features:
Anti Spike Function
GG E-Sports Platform has provided anti-spike function integrated in the client. Basically anti-spike is trying to reduce spikes during game as much as possible. By using this, games can made to be smooth when playing.
Do remember, if player is not spike please don't enable anti-spike since both you and the host will consume more bandwidth.(Dota games especially)
The setting is very simple. If you are joining other people's game and feel spikes, right click the icon before the name of the player you are connecting, move your mouse to anti-spike. Choose anti-spike level according to the connection between you and the host. Also, you may ask the host to set anti-spike by right click your icon ---> Optimize connection --> anti-spike --> the level you wish to set. If the host is in your friend list and he accepts synchronizing anti-spike, he will automatically set anti-spike with you.


Also you can use Hotkeys when you are in game. You won't need to pause the game and tab out to adjust.

GGTV
Bored of refreshing live games? GGTV can change your life!

GGTV version 0.5 is out and integrated in to the Client.
By now you can simply watch live game or review past games on GGClient.
You can click lobby---> GG-Gaming services---->GGTV , select channel and watch .
When you are on the client and live game started, you will receive a system message telling you the game has started. You can just click the Watch button and watch live game.

If you want to view game in full screen mode, simply click setting and go to GGTV setting to set.


Worry about missing your favorite game? You won't miss it again! When you are in another live game, the in game message can lead your way.

The best new feature is now you can chat with other viewers when you are watching live games by just typing in game.
Commands:
/chat on       enable chat function
/chat off      disable chat function
/allmsg on    display all chatting message from the viewer in the same room   
/strangermsg off    to disable message from non- friendlist viewer

Note that you can only receive the message from people in the same room. Otherwise it's gonna be quite messy.
For other commands, you can simply type /help cmdlist to get to know.

/faster or /slower in speak to all mode (shift enter or F12, choose speak to all). Or you can just type /speed 4 (number between 1-4)

/rate number(rate the match from integer 1 to 5). Eg, if you think this game is fantastic you can simply type /rate 5.

/goto minute:second fast forward to the time you specified. eg: if you want to fast forward to 5min 6 sec, just type /goto 05:06
