CLAN SYSTEM  
 
 
  Garena Clan System allows you to form your own clan or be part of a big clan or group, and be able to team up with your friends, comrades and allies. The clan system includes a private chat room for the clan and its guests, clan rankings, and more.

The “Clans and Groups” tab can be found in the Garena Functions Panel located in the right side of Garena. In the window, you can see a quick link button to “Create a Clan or Group”, “Find a Clan or a Group” and the list of clans or groups you are a member or guest of.

Clans Fast Facts:
• Each clan has a capacity of 50 members including the clan lord and clan guests.
• Every member including the Clan Lord has a contribution attribute. Each member contributes EXP to the clan when they gain EXP while playing in
  Garena. (NOTE: You will not lose any EXP for contributing EXP to your clan, gamers will gain equal EXP whether in a clan or not.)
• Clans will not lose any EXP that was already contributed by any member who will leave the clan.
Private Clan Channel
   
 
  Gamers with clans can enjoy and chat in their own private clan channels in Garena. The clan channel also allows you to read the latest clan announcement as well as know who is online in your clan. Clan guests can also view the clan channels.

Open the “Clans and Groups” tab under Garena Functions Panel. Then double click on the Clan Name of the channel you want to open.
 
  The clan navigation menu is located at the top of the channel, the clan chat area in the left side, top right corner of the channel is the announcement area, and the clan members list is located at the right side of the channel.

(NOTE: Clan members name in grey means they are offline)
   
Forming your Own Clan
   
 
  Gamers who have reached level 25 in Garena EXP Ladder can form one (1) clan.
(NOTE: Currently, each user can only create a clan once and cannot create another one afterwards)

Click on the “Create a Clan or a Group” button under Clans and Groups tab.
 
  You will then be redirected to Garena Clan Portal, click on “Log In” then input your Garena user name and password.

After logging in, click on the “Create Clan” link found in the functions list of the Garena Clan Site
(NOTE: you will not see this option if you are currently a member of any clan).

The clan creation form will be shown, please fill up the information correctly.

Clan Name – This will be the full name for your Clan (NOTE: Please use English and non-special characters only).
Clan Tag - Clan Tag is the abbreviation tag for your Clan (NOTE: Maximum number of character is 5. Do NOT include any non-English and special characters).
Logo - Input the URL of your desired logo in this field, you can obtain the URL of the file after uploading the file to any file sharing site (NOTE: Logo
  size must be 88*31)

Category - Select the category for your clan (e.g. Warcraft3, DotA, Counter Strike, etc).
Member Application Restriction – This allows you to set the standard requirement for your clan membership application.
Description – The description is where you can put the clan introduction and other statement about your clan.

After filling up all the information, click on “Create”.
   
Joining Garena Clans
   
 
  All registered Garena members can apply and join in any registered clans no matter what their levels are (considering that clan is open to member application). A gamer can only be a “member” of only one clan, however, they can apply as a “clan guest” to as many clans they want to be part in.

Click on the “Find a Clan or a Group” button under Clans and Groups tab.

 
  You will then be redirected to Garena Clan Portal, click on “Log In” then input your Garena user name and password.     After logging in, click on the “Join a Clan” link found in the functions list of the Garena Clan Site.
 
  A list of Clans will appear, click on the radio button located just left of the clan name you want to join. Then click on either “Join as Friend” or “Join as Member” to apply as a clan guest or as a clan member respectively.

After you have successfully sent your application to the clan, you will need to wait for the approval of your application by the Clan Lord or other officials (Captain and Organizer) of the clan.
   
Inviting Members to Your Clan
   
 
  The Clan lord, captain and organizers can also directly recruit and invite new members to join their clan from Garena (NOTE: The clan officials can only invite gamers in the same room they are in. You cannot invite gamer to join your clan as a guest, they can only apply as clan guest through the Clan Portal).

In the Game Room list, the clan officers can right-click on the gamer’s name they want to invite and then click “Invite to my Clan!”.



The gamer who was invited to join the clan will then receive a system notification (blinking icon) in his system tray. When the gamer clicks on the blinking icon, it will open up the clan invitation notice.
 
  The invited user can choose to “Accept” or “Refuse” the invitation. If he “Accept” the invitation, he will automatically be a member of the clan.
   
Leaving your Clan
   
 
  For Members and Clan Officers
Members and Clan officials not including Clan Lord can leave the clan. For basic members, they can leave the clan at any time. While Clan officers may only leave the clan after some time they have served or stayed in the clan.

In the “Clans and Groups” tab, right click on the Clan name you want to leave, then click on “Leave Group”
 
  A confirmation box will appear. Click “Yes” to confirm, click “No” to cancel.

For Clan Lords
Clan Lords cannot immediately leave his clan, but can choose to pass the Clan Lord title to a member of the same clan. After passing the title, the former clan lord can now leave the clan. (NOTE: If you are the founder of the clan and passed your clan to another gamer, you cannot create another clan any more.)

Log in to Garena Clan Portal using the Clan Lord account.

Click on “Transfer Clan Ownership” link in the functions panel.

A list of clan members will be shown, click on the radio button corresponding to the username of the member you want the “Clan lord” title to be pass on. Then input your clan lord account’s username and password in the respective field to confirm. Then click on “Submit”.
   
Using Nicknames in Clans
   
 
  Clan members and officers including the clan lord may use “nicknames” in the clan chat room.

Log in to Garena Clan Portal using your Garena account and password.
    Click on “Update Nickname” under functions list.

Look for the Clan you want to have a unique nickname from the list of clans in the “Update Nickname” menu, and put in your preferred nickname in the corresponding field.


   
Managing Your Clan
   
 
  For Members and Clan Officers
Members and Clan officials not including Clan Lord can leave the clan. For basic members, they can leave the clan at any time. While Clan officers may only leave the clan after some time they have served or stayed in the clan.

In the “Clans and Groups” tab, right click on the Clan name you want to leave, then click on “Leave Group”
 
  Clan lords can update and manage the clan and its members in the Clan Portal. The function includes setting up ranks for different members of the clan, putting up clan announcements, and other clan information changes.

Log in to Garena Clan Portal using the Clan Lord account.

Clan Lords will be able to see more options (Clan lord functions) compared to other users under the functions list panel.

(NOTE: Some functions such as “Manage Salary” is not enabled as the feature is not yet implemented)
   
Updating the Clan Information
   
 
  The Clan Lord can also add or edit some of the clan’s basic information anytime through the Clan Portal functions panel.

Click on “Update Clan Information” link under functions panel (Only visible for Clan Lords).

The clan information page will appear. Edit the information you want to change then click on “Submit” to apply the new clan information. (NOTE: You cannot edit the Clan Name or Clan Tag from this option, this can only be done using Clan Modifier Cards sold in Garena Shop)
   
Managing the Clan Members
   
 
  Clan lords can set ranks for its members and promote or demote them anytime through the Clan Portal functions panel.

Click on “Manage Members” link under functions panel (Only visible for Clan Lords).
 
  In the clan members menu, the clan lord can change the member’s rank by changing the title under the “Position” column to their new rank (click on the drop down arrow and select a new title). Then click on “Submit” to apply changes.

The available ranks to assign are as follows: 1 Clan Captain, 2 Clan Organizers, 4 Clan Examiners, 4 Squad Leaders, Elite Members, Members, and Inactive Members. The Captain and Organizers can recruit and invite members. Whereas Examiner and higher ranks can use the nudge function in the clan chat channel. Members with higher ranks will have greater contribution to the clan.
   
Clan Blogs
   
 
  Every registered clan will also have their own dedicated web page for their clan which includes a blog feature that will allow members of the clan to post their blog.

Log in to the Clan Portal using your account then click on “My Clan” to open your dedicated clan site.
 
  In the clan page, the blog area is located just below the general clan information. Click on “New Blog” to add a blog, and click on “More” to view all blogs.
